Reed Bed Liners from Sean Carr Lining

Reed beds are primarily used by the water industry for the treatment of waste water in large and rural areas. This treatment is environmentally friendly, and requires 6m² of reed bed per person, a substantial amount!

To apply a reed bed liner, reed beds must be excavated. The base is then either covered with a layer of sand to the specification needed, or a geotextile base which Sean Carr Lining could supply to suit the ground conditions.

The reed bed liners will then be fabricated on site by our highly qualified geomembrane liner installation team.

Each individual seam is tested by Sean Carr Lining by either air testing or vacuum box testing to ensure they are all correctly sealed.

Liners used for Reed bed projects are low density polyethylene geomembranes that provide the perfect solution as they provide an impermeable barrier. They have excellent chemical and UV resistance, impermeability, and high yield and welded strengths. Liner thicknesses vary between 0.5mm 2.0mm.

If you would like any assistance or more information about reed bed liners, or if you have a reed bed lining project you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to contact us where a member of our team would be more than happy to help.
